Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD)

The diagnostic category, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), as opposed to specific developmental disorders (SDD), refers to a group of five disorders characterized by delays in the development of multiple basic functions including socialization and communication.

The most commonly known PDD is Autism, with the remaining identified as Rett syndrome, Childhood disintegrative disorder, Asperger syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (or PDD-NOS).

1 hour sessions starting at 10am

This program is a school-like program which aligns itself with the student’s Individualized Education Plan. However, this program is intended to assist parents in helping their children lead normal lives by having them participate in a fun program, where social skills are reviewed, renewed and expanded in a non-education environment, geared for fun.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children, who have been classified by school districts or neurologists as PDD or ADD. Parents can socialize with other parents, whose children are similar. They can develop play dates, have parties and enjoy life. The only stipulation, is that we ask parents to remain within the facility, so as to learn how to have fun with their children. This is time without your children, but your presence within the facility is a must.

Please feel free to peruse the schedule and the requirements, then complete the application.
