Occupational Therapy involves the
evaluation, treatment and education of patients who, as a result
of any disease process or surgical procedure, lose the ability
to function independently in the areas of basic daily living
skills, gross and fine motor hand functions, community mobility
and living skills, and occupational performance skills.
Occupational therapists work with
individuals of all ages who present with physical, development,
emotional, cognitive or visual problems. Occupational therapists
help patients to improve their basic motor functions and
reasoning abilities, and also to compensate for permanent loss
of function.
At CrossCounty we design the individual
program based on the patient’s condition and specific needs. Our
goal with occupational therapy is to help patients have
independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
